The Social Security Institute recognises to any freelance worker, that is aware of payment of the fees at the time of a cancellation, the same provisions and conditions that to the workers assigned to the General Social Security System with regard to healthcare that they go from the healthcare to the payment of financial assistance for different reasons: maternity, paternity, risk during pregnancy, temporary disability and permanent disability.

During the last few years has been included also the financial assistance for care for minors suffering from cancer or another serious disease and the financial assistance for cessation of activity known as “unemployment for self-employed workers”.
