Risk of heat exposure

Published on: 21/06/2023

Our organisation has a thermo-regulating system that allows maintaining the constant body temperature, using mechanisms as the vasodilatation and the perspiration/sudoración to delete the heat that our body generates constantly. In addition to this heat, there is also the heat produced by the physical activity required as part of our work.

The exhibition to high temperatures can cause that the physiological reply of termorregulación is insufficient, causing thermal stress for heat, that if is not corrected, can produce a “sunstroke”, serious disorder that it requires of urgent medical care.

The National Health and Safety at work Institute (INSST) offers specific spaces on prevention measures to protect the health and safety of hard-working people in the works out in the open and for adverseweather phenomenona.
