How to evaluate the risk

The most widespread and recommended methods for the assessment of the risk of thermal stress for heat are the calculation of the index WBGT (Wet Bulb Globe Temperature) and that one of Thermal overloading, both considered ones in the Guide technique for the evaluation and prevention of the risks regarding the use of workplaces.

1. Climate CHIP

On the website of the European partnership HEAT Shield  is found Climate CHIP, a calculating person that allows obtaining the index WBGT starting from the details of Air temperature and Humidity Relative, without the need for to measure the Temperature of balloon and the Temperature of moist bulb:

 

         

 

2. Index of Heat

The Institute of Overall Health of Barcelona (ISGlobal) offers in its website a calculator of the Index of Heat (Heat Index). Starting from the Relative Air temperature and Humidity the index esteem the risk of estres thermal on the basis of the method the Index of Extended Heat (Lu and Romps 2022), an extended and corrected version of the Index of Heat of the National Weather Service (NWS) of the United States.
