How to research the causes of an occupational disease

The current regulations on occupational risk prevention establish the obligation of the company to investigate work-related diseases, whether caused by work-related accidents or occupational diseases.

The aim of this research is to determine the causes of an occupational disease in order to take the appropriate action by establishing the relevant preventive measures to avoid a recurrence of the disease in the job under investigation, as well as other positions exposed to similar risks.

The National Health and Safety at work Institute (INNST) has published the 'Procedure of case research of occupational diseases ' to help to carry out researches.
