How to research the causes of an occupational disease

Published on: 19/10/2022

The current regulations on occupational risk prevention establish the obligation of the company to investigate work-related diseases, whether caused by work-related accidents or occupational diseases.

The aim of this research is to determine the causes of an occupational disease in order to take the appropriate action by establishing the relevant preventive measures to avoid a recurrence of the disease in the job under investigation, as well as other positions exposed to similar risks.

National Institute of Occupational Health and Safety (INNST) has published the 'Procedure for research into occupational diseases' to help with the research.
