Main company

Company that contract or it outsources the performance of works or the performance of services corresponding to its own activity, and that they take place in its own work centre (Royal Decree 171/2004). It can be at the same time named company.

Besides to apply him the obligations of the concurrent company and of the company principal, he corresponds watching to the companies to those which has contracted or subcontracted, through:

Application of accreditation in writing of:

• Preventive organisation's type in the established terms for the Royal Decree 39/1997.
• Preventive risk assessment and planning.
• In relation to contracted people:
  • Preventive information and training.
  • Delivery of personal protective equipments.
  • Periodic vigilance of its health condition.

Vigilance of the fulfillment of the standard of risk prevention at work during the development of the works.

Remark of other non-specific legal requirements of PRL: obligations of the companies countergive or subcontracted with the Social Security Institute, with the Tax Agency, etc.
