Legislation on electromagnetic fields

The Royal Decree 299/2016, on the protection of the health and the security of hard-working people when dealing with the risks related to the exhibition to electromagnetic fields (CEM) is the trasposición our legislation from the Directive 2013/35/EU.

It is applicable to activities in which the hard-working people are or they can be exposed to risks derived from electromagnetic fields as a result of its work.

The technical Guide for the evaluation and prevention of the risks derived from the exhibition to electromagnetic fields in the workplaces (Health and Safety at work National Institute, 2019) gives criteria and recommendations that they can provide to the people employers and to the responsible for prevention the interpretation and application of the Royal Decree 299/2016.
