Legislation on electromagnetic fields

The Royal Decree 299/2016, on the protection of the health and safety of the people workers when dealing with the risks associated with exposure to electromagnetic fields (CEM) is the trasposición to our legislation of the Directive 2013/35/EU.

It is applicable to activities in which the hard-working people are or they can be exposed to risks derived from electromagnetic fields as a result of its work.

The Technical guide for the assessment and prevention of risks arising from exposure to electromagnetic fields in the workplace (Health and Safety at work National institute, 2019) gives criteria and recommendations that they can provide to the people employers and to the responsible for prevention the interpretation and application of the Royal Decree 299/2016.
