During pregnancy, women experience a series of physiological changes that can affect their work.

Standing for long periods can aggravate circulatory problems in the legs, lower back overload and increase fatigue. To avoid this, it is recommended to not remain standing for more than 4 consecutive hours and to be no more than 1 hour in the same position without moving.

At the end of 2011, the INSHT published the document “Guidelines for the risk assessment and protection of the maternity at work” to help to the employer and at his service of prevention to carry out these missions.
