Environmentally responsible

At Mutua Universal we promote policies, actions and projects to foster responsible behaviour with regard to the environment and sustainability. We do this through an environmental policy, awareness-raising driving initiatives that reduce waste, and a certified management system.

Efficiency

Mutua Universal fosters responsible behaviour that respects the environment through internal awareness-raising campaigns, promoting recycling, responsible consumption habits that of the environmental training.

The project to digitise X-ray images at all our centres has meant dangerous chemical waste (developing liquids) is no longer generated, thus minimising our environmental impact. On top of that, the full roll-out of the Online Clinic has meant a reduction in the need for travel with the consequent reduction in CO2 emissions.

Mutua Universal's commitment to the environment is reflected in our Environmental Policy, which is focused on implementing actions designed to increase respect for the principles of protecting the environment and preventing pollution.

We also make sure efficiency principles, environmentally respectful materials and energy consumption reduction measures are introduced in our centres.

Management System

Since 2006, Mutua Universal, has introduced the Environmental Management System UNE-EN-ISO 14001:2004 (SGMA 14001) in our centres nationally.

Currently, the Environmental Management System has been implemented in 137 of our centres, with 46 certified by the EQA (European Quality Assurance) Certification Company.
