Risks of accident “commuting” and “in mission”
The causes of an accident “commuting” (that which is suffered when going or returning of the workplace) or “in Mission” (the had in the journey that is made for the fulfillment of a mission or in its performance within the working day), can be be various: technical problems with the vehicle, atmospheric factors, factors associated with the design or state of the public highway, human error due to physical and mental problems, temporary psychophysical states, an excess or lack of experience with respect to the vehicle or the road, actions that interfere with driving, distractions, etc.
Respect the established speed limit for the type of road you are travelling on, as well as any traffic signs and traffic police signals. Comply with the Technical Vehicle Inspection (ITV) regulations. Regularly check the vehicle signalling devices, to ensure they are working correctly, the state of the brakes, the tyres (which must have the correct pressure and tread depth to shed rain water), the battery, the antifreeze level, the windscreen wiper blades, the horn, etc. Also make sure the vehicle undergoes the recommended services.
