Prevention of risk during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to chemical agents

To protect both the woman and the future baby, it is necessary to know the level of risk of the work position, the type of exposure in the work position in order to be able to adopt the most suitable measures of protection when dealing with this new situation.
There are numerous work activities where exposure to chemical agents is a risk factor for the health and safety of the workers that carry out these activities.
At the end of 2011, the INSHT published the document “Guidelines for the risk assessment and protection of the maternity at work” to help to the employer and at his service of prevention to carry out these missions.
