Digital kit for self-employed workers and SMEs. Diving board for the growth

The Digital Kit (Digital Toolkit) is a public programme from grants to self-employed workers and Spanish SMEs, developed by the Government of Spain. Its main goal is to provide to the companies of necessary digital tools with which “increase its scale, to access new markets and to develop everything its potential” –according to first vice-president's words and Issue minister Economic and Digital Transformation, Nadia Calviño–, achieving thus a significant advance in the digitisation and the modernisation of the production network in our country.

The resource of the Digital Kit ascends to 3,067 million euros, from funds Next Generation of the European Union, and is framed in the agenda Spain Digital 2025

The Digital Kit (Digital Toolkit) is a public programme from grants to self-employed workers and Spanish SMEs, developed by the Government of Spain. The resource of the Digital Kit ascends to 3,067 million euros, from funds Next Generation of the European Union, and is framed in the agenda Spain Digital 2025. The initiative appears of different calls, according to the sectors of SMEs and self-employed workers.

  • Sector I: small businesses, between 10 and 49 employees (about 150,000 across the Whole of Spain). Amount of the digital bond by company: 12,000 euros.
  • Sector II: small businesses or microcompanies, between 3 and 9 employees, (1,100.00 in Spain). Amount of the digital bond by company: 6,000 euros.
  • Sector III: small businesses or microcompanies and self-employed workers (people in situation of self-employment), between 1 and 2 employees (1,600,000 in Spain). Amount of the digital bond by company: 2,000 euros.

The call for the sector I is opened June and for the II sector is opened the September. Anyway, it is recommended to carry out procedures as soon as possible.

Requirements to access aids are the next ones:

  • Have the consideration of small business or microcompany.
  • Be registered in the census of employers, professionals and retenedores of the State Inland Revenue Administration Agency or in the equivalent census of the Autonomous Tax Administration, where it is owed to reflect the economic activity indeed developed to the application date of the assistance.
  • Not having the consideration of company in crisis.
  • Be up to date on all tax and Social Security obligations.
  • Not being in none of the bans considered in the General Statute of Grants.
  • Not exceeding the limit of aids of "mínimis" (200,000€).
  • Have the evaluation of the Digital Maturity level.

  • E-Billing: until 1,000 euros
  • Online office services and tools: 250 euros/user
  • Secure communications: 150 euros/user
  • Cybersecurity: 125 euros/device
